History: Roland was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his mother was employed at, doing general labor. His mother disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his mother, he was betrayed dozens of times. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Bookbinder responsibilities is difficult; and wants to open a new tavern

Description: This man wears a brown vest with golden trim over his white shirt. His pastel leather gloves and pants are well-kept, and his brown boots flare out at the collars. He has a penchant for wearing a ring with an oversized topaz on his right hand. His lavender fur is thinning but still full. His thin eyebrows rest above his beady yellow eyes.

Personality: He barks his statements quickly and with little fuss. He prefers small words and is at his heart utilitarian. His brief stint in the army gave him the idea he was invincible and that he is the toughest man alive.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: She considers herself the perfect lady. She makes a point to always show proper etiquette and frequently critiques the etiquette of others. To her fellows she is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. Because her father participated in the massacre of their homeland, gnolls burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. She was preparing to flee to the south, but the outbreak of war prevented her and her mother from journeying south to reunite her family. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Someone believes her a fraud.

Personality: She acts crazy and hedonistic. She does not trust anyone and sleeps with one eye open.

History: She was born in the north, but her parents moved at a very young age to the east. A serious injury left her mother unemployed and in need of constant care. Her family became saddled with debt trying to care for her infirm mother. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: She made a deal with a demon which lead to her current lot in life, and she's becoming increasingly nervous about it.

Description: This late middle aged man wears very tight pants and wife beaters, though occasionally he sports a brown coat and is in decent physical shape. He wears a small hat to hide his balding. This yellow eyed northerner is not easily forgotten.

Personality: He is inclined to make off color jokes and interpret anything that could be construed as such as innuendo. He also hits on women, regardless of circumstances.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Ruler work with an outfit from a few towns over. Ruler work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He has achieved small success as a Ruler.
