History: He was born in a small plains village. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the plains to a summer home near a large cave. He would wander through that large cave and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the plains due to the painful memories there. Howard took refuge in the large cave and found the beat up pickaxe and armor he uses now. After a long history of fighting, Howard and his spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: She never swears and excessively uses polite adverbs when speaking. She is skeptical of what others tell her and is slow to trust.

History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her mother and father. Her mother taught her the rudiments of the Crown-heir arts, while her father instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. She has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to her frivolously. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Nikki fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Personality: Quiet and reserved he prefers to listen than to talk. He will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. He works hard and plays hard.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Dayereth grew up listening to his father's many stories. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Gnomish companion (his 'brother'). Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure. He picked a direction and started trekking.

Personality: He is enamored with his job. He loves it. He likes the challenge and he likes helping those less fortunate than him. His home and work are filled with various knick knacks he has acquired through the years. He cares a great deal for his adopted teenage son.

History: Dustin was born with his mother's beautiful face. He was taken from his home at a very young age. He tends to his Interpreter job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister; and expand his business

Personality: Cumpen hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate her. It was this clingy personality that held back her singing career. She is obsessed with finding treasure.

History: She was raised by priests from a young age. She found a children's book about a Gnome Wizard who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Motivation: She desires power and/or immortality; and she wants to meet her childhood hero
