History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Murgen was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.

History: Kelter was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. In his 15th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Kelter alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: Cocky and sure of himself, he believes he is the best Mercenary born in the past three hundred years. When triggered he is a bloodthirsty maniac, stopping at nothing and killing everything for almost an hour.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Mercenary work with an outfit from a few towns over. Mercenary work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Mercenary for the past few years.

She survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. She did whatever it took for her to survive. She has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.
