History: Her arcane talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, her parents had her trained. Since her mother passed away years ago, her father had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She left for the west, certain she would find work there.

Personality: Joan wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Monk, so she tries to act the part. She does a good job, for the most part... The war was a terrible time for her, and Joan does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. When Joan reached her early adolescence her Human father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, she decided to travel. Her rounds led her into the Army with a few individuals who would become her life-long companions. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: She wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and she loathes her own lifestyle

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Seere was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Tieflings in the west were limited. She now spends her time doing works of charity.

Personality: He can speak with the recently deceased. He is lazy and tries to find solutions quickly.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He was granted divine powers by his dying brother.
