History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. She dropped out of school before completing her studies. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Personality: He considers himself the protector of his home. He feels this is his duty and calling. He loves his children and doesn't want them to worry about him. He loves to share his writing with anyone who is interested.

History: Born in the south his family was never financially stable. Cursed with a spirit at a very young age, Pandjed has worked very hard to control his curse. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Carter and was forced into it by his family.

Personality: She is irritable and easily angered. She is a bit of a bully and is not afraid to use her stature and powers to intimidate and hurt. She is kind towards other women and children and will generally offer women help without question. Others will generally need to prove themselves to her.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Through the years after Kite was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Kite's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Personality: He is a melancholic, but persistent worker. He resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. He is very protective of his business, his home, and his spouse. He is willing to work with less than legal methods but maintains the front of legitimacy.

History: Two Llamas lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He moved out west to avoid the crime he committed. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.
