His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. After a long history of fighting, Alston and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture; and he has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day

Description: This man stands a little under 5'4" and is a bit bulky. He is very muscular particularly in the legs. He wears a brown shirt, with a grey mid length shorts with grey tights and flats, usually wearing a coat over them. His beige fur is heavily combed to the right. This yellow eyed westerner is not easily forgotten.

Personality: He can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. He is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes him no end of embarrassment.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. His father was a mechanic, and taught him how to fix just about anything. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

History: She was born at the edge of vast desert. She has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to her frivolously. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Description: She is a pot bellied western woman with a big hulking figure and broad shoulders. She likes to wear darkened spectacles and heavy clothing, no matter the weather. Her hair is greying and her face has many wrinkles. She has several tiny jet earrings on each ear.

Personality: She is business-like. She takes instructions and follows them to the letter. She can see the true alignment of people by looking at them, and uses this to pass judgement.

History: Sorath was born in the west. At a young age she loved to build and create. She struck it rich when she found rare goods in large quantities. One night she noticed a nearby shooting star which she hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. She has done her darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Motivation: She has money and likes to spend it; and wants to work out more often
