History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. When she was little, her rather wealthy family often ventured across the island to a summer home near a ruined castle. She would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and she was stranded inside. Her family spent the next few days looking for her, and could only assume she was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the island due to the painful memories there. Valida took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up flail and armor she uses now. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: He trusts no one. He is not readily capable for forgiveness and his ire never leaves him. He is frequently practicing swordplay.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when giants swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Cairn was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: A deep hatred of giants.

She is the most sanctimonious self-righteous Half-Elf in existence. She is a logical person and will generally grow upset if things defy logic and science.

History: Vadania was born the youngest of three triplets. A gifted student she started as a Bookbinder, but she got bored and became a Mercenary. She has been saving her money to try and buy her brother's freedom.

Motivation: She doesn't get along with people that don't share her tastes; and an old rival family wants her found

History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the north. She went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. She is untrained/undisciplined, which makes her dangerous.

Motivation: Her religion dominates her actions; and to prove her worth to the world

Personality: She is a Bricklayer first and foremost. She believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. Despite her manner, she is extremely passionate and proud of her job, and she prides herself in being thorough and never missing a detail.

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Bricklayer. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Bricklayer for hire.

Motivation: To be a Dilettante again; and she is unsatisfied with her job
