History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He took after his mother in leading caravans. Because they were valued, his mother taught him to defend himself. When his mother died while fighting illithids, the young Simon began to lead the lost caravan. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Simon was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the illithids.

Personality: Baradad hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his writing career. He lacks restraint and is impulsive. He jumps in and acts without thinking all too often.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Ruler work with an outfit from a few towns over. Ruler work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He became a Ruler soon after.

Motivation: To be a Bricklayer again.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: To prove his worth to the world; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

Description: An older man who typically wears a sleeveless long coat of deep grey leather and dull violet iron scale mail, he is not a threatening figure. His hair is always cut to a buzz. His blue eyes are slightly larger than normal.

Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. He loves teas. He is very sensitive about his face. To blow off anger he lifts weights and to control his otherwise explosive temper he works out a lot.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Dyer. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent father; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister
