History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. In his 12th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Zephan alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.
