History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Veloptima grew up listening to her father's many stories. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. She has recently attracted an admirer that believes she's playing hard to get.

She sought a place where she would be rewarded solely on the merits of her skills. This search led her directly into Shoemaker work with an outfit from a few towns over. Shoemaker work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.
