Description: This fat southern man has a bulbous nose and wears a faded coat and loose pants complete with wide-brimmed hat. His skin is also unnaturally pale. He wears his hair in dreadlocks. His gray eyes lackadaisically let the world flow into them.

Personality: Friendly and accommodating he would invite many more into his home than his spouse would be comfortable with if they did not express concern about it. The occasional robbery is his preferred attention getting crime, but he mainly uses his means for meeting his own perverse desires.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. He helped his mother out around the business and became quite the natural. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions.

Personality: He dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the north. On top of that he is swayed by a pretty face, and while loyalty to his employer will always come first he doesn't like to hit women.

History: He was born at the edge of vast plains. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: Wants a kiss; and he's attracted to the pc

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. The war was a terrible time for him, and Nim does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Nim was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He tends to his Dyer job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Motivation: Further expansion of business; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. Her father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her father was legitimate. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Her religion dominates her actions; and retire the richest woman in the north
