Personality: She shows great sympathy to all travelers. She's the type to buy drinks and listen to their stories. She does not mind isolation but does not hate company and attempts to receive them as best as possible.
History: Oriel was born with her father's beautiful face. She moved out north to avoid the crime she committed. Being a Sailor kept her interest for a while, but then she became depressed and bored. So she turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.
Motivation: Wants to raise her children well; and she has decided she is irredeemable

Description: She is lean but muscular and wears a robe, a symbol of the four houses of cards around her neck, and a warhammer on her belt. Her hair is long and silver with streaks of auburn, and is pulled back with small white clips. She wears crescent spectacles with a black brim.
Personality: In the realm of puns, she cannot help herself. She feels obliged to make them. She passes on several rewards to people in need. She makes a point to leave places better than she found them.
History: Her divine talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, her parents had her trained. When she was little, her rather wealthy family often ventured across the plains to a summer home near a old dungeon. She would wander through that old dungeon and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and she was stranded inside. Her family spent the next few days looking for her, and could only assume she was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the plains due to the painful memories there. Nikki took refuge in the old dungeon and found the beat up warhammer and armor she uses now. She was granted divine powers by her dying brother.
Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and she feels kind of lost in life

Description: A moderately attractive man, he wears a large hat to cast shadows over his face and wears ponchos to better hide his body. His dark red hair, when down, is lengthy. He has gleaming, smiling gold eyes.
Personality: He is a jovial happy person, but he is convinced people are living their lives too quickly. He is ready at a moment's notice to give into his darker urges. He is a real pyromaniac and does not care who the fire hurts. He often ends up burning people alive in the fires he starts.
History: He was born in the east, but his parents moved at a very young age to the south. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Mordai grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Mordai. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.
Motivation: He has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day.

Description: This southern woman's face is deformed and paralyzed on one side. As such, she slurs her words together. She wears a black collared shirt and grey skirt. She accessorizes with a brown scarf around the waist and a strap diagonally across her shirt. Her hair is always cut to a buzz. Her violet eyes dart from person to person to random spaces in the air.
Personality: She does not believe in betrayal or weakness as things to be tolerated. She dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. Her biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.
History: She was raised in a island tribe. Being born in the south, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the south for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way west. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her sons to still be retired.
Motivation: Regain custody of her son; and find a way to reverse the transformation of her sister

Personality: She is a melancholic, but persistent worker. She resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. She does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for her. She lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.
History: She was born into a rich family. She inherited a moderately successful company from her mother. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
