History: Born in the east to a Cartwright, Hogar learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Cartwright. He now owns his own business.

Personality: She is irascible and easily irritated. She uses her nature as a weapon; she likes to lead opponents to think her in distress.

History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. She inherited a moderately successful company from her mother. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: She is fixated on the number 51. She counts her steps and bites of food to keep in track with it. She seems to be used to being ignored and not questioned about it. She is lazy, self-centered, vain, and jealous.

History: Born to a Map Maker, her father struggled to pay the bills. In her youth she was a Map Maker, and wanted to be a champion fighter when she grew up. She was working during a period of war, and as one of the natives she lived in fear of joining the others in being slaughtered. She saw the brutality and swore off her fighting aspirations, taking her younger sister on her back after seeing her parents die, and fled the country. She is untrained/undisciplined, which makes her dangerous.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and she is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally
