History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. In his 18th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Ront alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

She tries to control her temper but she can't always stop herself from what she feels what must be done. She passes on several rewards to people in need. She makes a point to leave places better than she found them.

History: Jezean lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. She was an adventurer many years ago and she formed a blood bond with her Elven companion (her 'brother'). She has dedicated herself to building a better trade route.
