History: Born in the north to a Mason, Trail learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Mason for the past few years.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. A freak accident while working with his Knight father left him crippled. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Fistula was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Fistula was born on a far western mountains where she grew up under the tutelage of her father, an expert Stableman. She's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and she desires to right it; and someone believes her a fraud
