Description: A stocky lighter skinned woman, she wears dark leathers with embroidery. Her moppish blonde hair is in a traditional bowl cut. This gray eyed southerner is not easily forgotten.

Personality: She is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of her strength. She works very hard to maintain that gentleness. She cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist she will grow angry at them.

History: A child with a great deal of poetry talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. She moved from fad to fad and when she turned 15 she discovered poetry. She was granted necromantic powers by her dying sister.

Personality: Raymond is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. He lacks restraint and is impulsive. He jumps in and acts without thinking all too often.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: He wants revenge against dire rats; and a deep hatred of dire rats

Description: She is a woman of bearing and well nourished. She is well dressed, constantly wearing a white suit, tan shirt, and white tie. Her red hair is heavily combed to the left. Her thin eyebrows rest above her beady amber eyes.

Personality: She is quite rude, and likes to deride her opponents skill and shout insults at them. She also has developed a complete distrust of the Bookbinder profession.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. When the war came and ruined her parents she was left adrift. She was a hard woman then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. By chance she met her brother recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: Wants to open a new tavern; and find a way to reverse the transformation of her brother

Personality: She tends to agree with only herself unless someone else's opinion sounds like she can profit from it. She tries to control her temper but she can't always stop herself from what she feels what must be done. She loves being with her children and actually smiles when they are around. She would do anything for them. She dislikes her ex a great deal.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. Her father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her father was legitimate. After a long history of fighting, Emerald and her spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her brother; and she is greedy
