She was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Dragonborn doctor. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her mother and father. Her mother taught her the rudiments of the Carter arts, while her father instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. Oriff was born on a far eastern island where she grew up under the tutelage of her mother, an expert Carter. She left for the east, certain she would find work there.
