History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Kithri was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She worked as a nervous Marshal and found it very stressful. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: She swings through moods quickly. One moment she is cool and collected, the next she is carried away by passions. She moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep her interest for a month it is impressive.

History: Mialee lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her mother gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her mother, who blamed her for driving them apart. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: Retire the richest woman in the east; and marry her brother to traveling adventurers

History: When he was but 7 years old his parents immigrated from the north. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Elven companion (his 'brother'). He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: He wants revenge against illithids; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark

Personality: He is quite rude, and likes to deride his opponents skill and shout insults at them. He constantly seizes attention wherever he goes and has come to expect this respect from everyone. He likes to think of himself as merciful, but nonetheless is very strict.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Mercenary arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes; and he feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world
