History: She was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for her. It may also be what makes her so good at details. In her 18th year, her parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Cumpen alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

His auburn hair is matted, messy, and big. His blue eyes show the wear and tear of someone lonely with a great burden to carry.

Personality: He barks his statements quickly and with little fuss. He prefers small words and is at his heart utilitarian. He invites people to come help in his community garden.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when giants swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His parents were killed by giants in a raid when he was still a young child. The giants captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. Through the years after Chay was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south.
