History: Hethress hails from a village terrorized by drow. She moved from fad to fad and when she turned 15 she discovered poetry. She has been helping groups of widows and orphans who have fled abusive spouses or lost their families to drow.

Personality: He has schizophrenia that causes him to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. Despite his manner, he is extremely passionate and proud of his job, and he prides himself in being thorough and never missing a detail.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Norman was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He now owns his own business.

She has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Masseuse. She hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Since her mother passed away years ago, her father had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She has taken up work as a Navigator and fed both sides of the war false information with the goal of increasing casualties.
