Personality: She misses her glory days as an athlete. She does not mind her job, but it is boring in comparison. To her fellows she is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: She was born on a small isolated farm. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Personality: She has schizophrenia that causes her to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. She spends most of her days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There she gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: She was born at the edge of vast forest. Her mother took her hunting and taught her how to get in the mind of other creatures. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Oriff was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She dropped out of school to support her sick mother, and resented it. By chance she met her sister recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and marry her sister to traveling adventurers
