History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Oriax grew up listening to his father's many stories. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Oriax grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Oriax. Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure. He picked a direction and started trekking.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He moved out west to avoid the crime he committed. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.
