History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. Her mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She left for the north, certain she would find work there.

Personality: She can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. She is kind towards other women and children and will generally offer women help without question. Others will generally need to prove themselves to her.

History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. As a young adult she joined a group advocating for an improvement in Halfling conditions. She has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Joan was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She found a children's book about a Human Adept who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She is searching for what she claims is her rightful reward.

Motivation: She made a deal with a demon which lead to her current lot in life, and she's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and she's looking for her big break
