He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He invented a lineage for himself and claims to be descended from several legendary heroes.

History: Born in the north to a Doctor, Tree learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

Motivation: To reunite with his old friends; and meet up once more with his childhood friend

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Cartwright they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Beggar, and he later adopted a second daughter.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and meet up once more with his childhood friend

History: Thava lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. She worked as a nervous Butcher and found it very stressful. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: Sabotage a competitor; and wants to open a new tavern

Personality: A rambunctious noisy drunk she knows how to make people feel guilty. She is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. She haggles over everything, upselling her goods and buying cheap. She is persistent in everything.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. In her formative years she discovered how persuasive she was. She began using that to her advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: She loathes her own lifestyle; and retire the richest woman in the south
