Personality: Dee speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. She is clearly well-traveled and educated. She takes great joy in being the best Navigator in town.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. She worked as a nervous Navigator and found it very stressful. She has worked as a Navigator like her father before her.

Personality: Confrontational and typically high on some drug or another. He is used to getting what he wants. In part because he is a meticulous planner.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. Being a Animal Trainer kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. A gifted student he started as a Bellfounder, but he got bored and became a Bather. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his father. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
