Description: A well shaped man just over fifty, he likes to wear darkened spectacles and heavy clothing, no matter the weather. He keeps his orange fur in a flapper bob. His eyes are likewise yellow. His teeth are yellowed and unaligned.

Personality: River hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his poetry career. He takes great joy in being the best Spy in town.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. River grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did River. He has worked as a Spy like his mother before him.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and a rival would like him out of the picture

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. She struck it rich when she found rare goods in large quantities. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Personality: She loves justice and goodness and right action. Anyone who does not fulfill this criteria perfectly will no doubt get a lecture from her. She is the most sanctimonious self-righteous Human in existence. Around other people she will do her best to conceal her emotions and appear jolly.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. While studying, she fell in love. They married and had a daughter. She has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: Retire the richest woman in the west; and balancing her hectic life and new ruler responsibilities is difficult

Her whole body is exceptionally muscular. She keeps her long chestnut hair kept up in a rat tail. Her eyes are violet and she is always smoking a pipe.

Personality: Here is a woman who knows she is the smartest in the room. She talks down to others constantly. The occasional robbery is her preferred attention getting crime, but she mainly uses her means for meeting her own perverse desires.

History: A powerful wizard made her what she is. A serious injury left her father unemployed and in need of constant care. Her family became saddled with debt trying to care for her infirm father. She used her abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

Motivation: She feels that her past leaves her morally obligated to help; and she has decided she is irredeemable
