History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and he feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. A gifted student she started as a Scribe, but she got bored and became a Marshal. She has achieved small success as a Marshal.
