Personality: He snorts whenever he laughs or is feeling confident. The war was a terrible time for him, and Wobbles does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: A child with a great deal of painting talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. In his 18th year, his parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Wobbles alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Eloise was raised in a hard working conservative environment. While studying, she fell in love. They married and had a son. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: Her religion dominates her actions; and wants to open a new tavern

Personality: She is intelligent and cunning, but she will too often allow her rage to get the better of her. She will lose her cool and rely on brute force to carry the day. She does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of brigands may trigger it at times.

History: She was raised by priests from a young age. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her father gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her father, who blamed her for driving them apart. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Veit's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes him no end of embarrassment.

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and he is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally
