History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Purban was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has never given up on his painting dream.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Willow was born on a far eastern island where she grew up under the tutelage of her mother, an expert Fisher. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.
