She is fiercely devoted to her father, and views her father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating her from her legal half-brother.

History: Merla lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Her father worked until she suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. She had to support her now crippled father and took her father's old job. She ran away from her former home and has been making her living as a Barber for the past few years.

Motivation: To prove her worth to the world; and find a way to reverse the transformation of her brother

History: She comes from a rich western family. She struck it rich when she found rare goods in large quantities. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: She's repulsed by the PC; and she is greedy

Personality: He is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: The child of a Miller, who enjoyed hunting, Baz was taken on many hunting expeditions. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Baz was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. After a long history of fighting, Baz and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: He is content; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

Personality: A rambunctious noisy drunk she knows how to make people feel guilty. On top of that she is swayed by a pretty face, and while loyalty to her employer will always come first she doesn't like to hit women.

History: She was raised by priests from a young age. Rohesia abandoned her home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. She survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. She did whatever it took for her to survive. She has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Gardener. She hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.
