History: Bertram was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Bookbinder work with an outfit from a few towns over. Bookbinder work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. She inherited a moderately successful company from her mother. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. Recently a tribe of brigands attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Bryseis fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: He was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his father's willingness to do anything to win. Some 6 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Fargrim never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his father had trained him before.

Motivation: He feels threatened by others; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions
