Personality: She is irritable and easily angered. She is a bit of a bully and is not afraid to use her stature and powers to intimidate and hurt. The war was a terrible time for her, and Nedda does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

History: She was born several months after her mother was called into army service. From her teen years she was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on her. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: Born to a Miner, his mother struggled to pay the bills. Like his mother and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Sage. He's also a talented Miner, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

History: Mary was born the youngest of three triplets. She sought a place where she would be rewarded solely on the merits of her skills. This search led her directly into Sculptor work with an outfit from a few towns over. Sculptor work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He constantly seizes attention wherever he goes and has come to expect this respect from everyone. He likes to think of himself as merciful, but nonetheless is very strict.

History: Born in the south to a Unemployed, Nithther learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. His father worked until he suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. He had to support his now crippled father and took his father's old job. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Unemployed for the past few years.

Motivation: To get a good night's sleep; and he feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world
