Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. Jak is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his sisters into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: Jak lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His childhood dream was to be a Apothecary, but he was a colossal failure. He's also a talented Apothecary, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. She has had some formal painting training, and achieved minor success. She has never given up on her painting dream.

History: The child of a Spice Merchant, who enjoyed hunting, Kaladan was taken on many hunting expeditions. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered singing. Now he works as a singing tutor during his time off.
