History: Burgell was born in the south. At a young age he loved to build and create. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Tabaxi companion (his 'brother'). He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Tabaxis in Shadow's homeland. Shadow decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She now mingles about in high society.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, River was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature shield.
