History: She was born in a small island village. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. Recently a tribe of goblins attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Bilga fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His first spouse was a Body Guard, they had one son, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: Marry his brother to traveling adventurers.
