History: Dean was raised in a hard working conservative environment. At a young age his father died while driving off some giants. His mother being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train him in whip use. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Miller. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

Her father taught her the rudiments of the Tanner arts, while her mother instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. Galiena abandoned her home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. She survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. She did whatever it took for her to survive. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature morningstar.

Motivation: She will attempt to ambush and attack anyone she thinks she can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, she will try to sell them to her slave-trader contact; and she loathes her own lifestyle
