History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Since her father passed away years ago, her mother had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She leaves a trail of broken hearts and full pockets wherever she goes.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He was granted arcane powers by his dying brother.

History: Nikki was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Her mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her sister; and to be a detective again

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. He helped his mother out around the business and became quite the natural. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 3 years.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Rosalind was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Through the years after Rosalind was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Rosalind's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls.
