Personality: In the realm of puns, she cannot help herself. She feels obliged to make them. The war was a terrible time for her, and Matilda does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

History: She was born several months after her mother was called into army service. At a young age she wooed the heart of her future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. She has since married many spouses, only to have them die. She claims to not be responsible.

Personality: He can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. He is obsessed with his god.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when giants swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He always admired martial-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.
