Description: A man with a friendly, welcoming air about him, he wears a red costume with the symbols of his god on his torso. His black hair is cut short. He has a dull look in his amber eyes.

Personality: He snorts whenever he laughs or is feeling confident. As he has aged he has sought to do reparations for his actions as a youth. He is also making sure that his compatriots who never received punishment for their crimes are brought to justice.

History: He was born into a rich family. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Ortegar grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Ortegar. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Motivation: He wants random interesting trinkets and junk, hates to throw anything away; and he possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal

Description: She is in excellent shape and has a large black mantle and cape that has been intricately interwoven into her blue robe. Her brown hair is well kept. Her face possesses mild wrinkles. Her smile is extraordinarily sincere though she does not smile often.

Personality: Cocky and sure of herself, she believes she is the best Slave Trader born in the past three hundred years. On top of that she is swayed by a pretty face, and while loyalty to her employer will always come first she doesn't like to hit women.

History: Her mother raised her in a mountain cabin. She was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Slave Trader for hire.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and she's in love

Description: He wears a green coat over a black low-cut shirt, and a wide-brimmed hat upon his head, but does not cut a very imposing figure. He walks with a slouch but will stand straight to his full 6'4" when asserting himself. His crest is greying and his face has many wrinkles. His red eyes are slightly larger than normal.

Personality: He is a sleazy, sleazy guy. He has no qualms about using his powers of suggestion to get people to do what he wants. He misses his home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. When Shamash reached his early adolescence his Dragonborn mother passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and he is content

Description: A woman with thick toned arms and a paunchy gut. She is well dressed, constantly wearing a brown suit, green shirt, and brown tie. Her blonde hair is unkempt and raggedy. Her blue eyes are desperate and heavily dilated. She has the appearance of someone under the heavy influence of drugs.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic woman, Susannah's first love is herself. Her second love is also herself. She constantly seizes attention wherever she goes and has come to expect this respect from everyone. She likes to think of herself as merciful, but nonetheless is very strict.

History: Born in the south her family was never financially stable. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Sage hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: She feels the way she acts is they only way to get by in the world; and an old rival family wants her found

Personality: He can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. He is an amazing painter.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Halfling conditions. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it; and he is unsatisfied with his job
