History: Miles was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Monk, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Monk in service of a powerful lord somewhere. In his 10th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Miles alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

History: Born in the west her family was never financially stable. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. After a long history of fighting, Drusilia and her spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: She is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs; and she has a rivalry with the church that dominates her actions

Personality: This woman loves painting and to teach people painting more than just about anything. She has a minor phobia of water and hates getting wet.

History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her mother and father. Her mother taught her the rudiments of the Merchant arts, while her father instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. She moved out north to avoid the crime she committed. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

Motivation: To protect her home; and she has decided she is irredeemable

Personality: Bilga is depressed about a lot of things. She tends to be a nihilist. She invented a lineage for herself and claims to be descended from several legendary heroes.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. When she grew older, she became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. She began work as a mercenary for hire. She would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark.
