Personality: He has schizophrenia that causes him to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. As he has aged he has sought to do reparations for his actions as a youth. He is also making sure that his compatriots who never received punishment for their crimes are brought to justice.

History: Barendd was born in the north. At a young age he loved to build and create. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. Being a Barrister kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Personality: She is always cheerful, even with a hangover, and is always willing to go through all sorts of trouble to help her friends. She considers everything a fun event and doesn't hold grudges. She has the money to obtain near anything and knows that if you pay a woman enough she will sell her own mother. Money is her most trusted friend.

History: Born in the west to a Painter, Nalaed learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. She has had some formal poetry training, and achieved minor success. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Painter for hire.

Personality: She fancies herself a trickster and likes to rely on her wits to carry the day. She cares for her older siblings and likes to be recognized by them. She pushes her goals aggressively. She is also a coward if confronted.

History: She comes from a rich western family. Being born in the west, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the west for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way north. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.
