She has done her darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Cook hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

Motivation: Her spouse's relatives view her with great suspicion; and her relatives are trying to arrange a marriage

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic woman, Verna's first love is herself. Her second love is also herself. She does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for her. She lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: When she was but 7 years old her parents immigrated from the west. She struck it rich when she found rare goods in large quantities. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
