History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. His mother was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Pennie lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. From there she went from mercenary job to mercenary job. History: He was born at the edge of vast island. In his 16th year, his parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving John alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: Abrasive and pushy, he has a hard time making friends. Raer is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his brothers into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: Born to a Brewer, his father struggled to pay the bills. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Raer was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.
