Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

His father worked until he suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. He had to support his now crippled father and took his father's old job. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Personality: She is not truly malevolent, but she is obsessed with poetry. She constantly tries to fill her life with poetry. She is submissive, is generally bored by everything, but will take part in whatever people ask of her. She is by nature obliging.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Avelina was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.

She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.
