Description: This northern woman's face is deformed and paralyzed on one side. As such, she slurs her words together. She has a large green mantle and cape that has been intricately interwoven into her white robe. Her hair is silver and curly. She is missing an eye and her face is severely sunburned. Her one remaining eye shines white.

Personality: She has a good heart but also a terrible temper. She will forgive often but not before yelling and berating someone for whatever they have done wrong. She loves being with her children and actually smiles when they are around. She would do anything for them. She dislikes her ex a great deal.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Pyra grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Pyra. After a long history of fighting, Pyra and her spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: She is almost excessively polite to everyone, even when angry. She believes the world needs to unite to get rid of giants once and for all.

History: Her arcane talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, her parents had her trained. In her 16th year, her parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Arha alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.

Motivation: Revenge.

Personality: He is enamored with his job. He loves it. He likes the challenge and he likes helping those less fortunate than him. He has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.

History: He was raised by priests from a young age. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 15 years.

Motivation: To be a Ruler again; and his religion dominates his actions

Description: She is scrawny and has patchy golden stubble. She wears a shirt and pants that are bristling with pockets overflowing with maps, compasses, and other navigational equipment. She has a hunchback. Her golden hair is cut jaggedly and amateurishly. Her face is covered beneath a completely black helmet.

Personality: She has schizophrenia that causes her to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. She also is a firm believer in the womanly ideal.

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Cursed with a spirit at a very young age, Mella has worked very hard to control her curse. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Retire the richest woman in the north.
