History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. His parents were killed by drow in a raid when he was still a young child. The drow captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. Recently a tribe of drow attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. History: Gifted from a young age, Sorath studied abroad. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature scythe.

Personality: She is always cheerful, even with a hangover, and is always willing to go through all sorts of trouble to help her friends. She considers everything a fun event and doesn't hold grudges. Gillyd enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for her love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: She was born in the north. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Dwarves in Gillyd's homeland. Gillyd decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: Quiet and reserved she prefers to listen than to talk. She will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. She is fiercely devoted to her mother, and views her mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating her from her legal half-brother.

History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. While she appears to be a normal Dwarf, she's... not quite right. Perhaps she's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that she plain doesn't fit in. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her daughters to still be retired.

History: Born in the north to a Apothecary, Orsik learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Apothecary work with an outfit from a few towns over. Apothecary work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
