History: Nissa lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Her father disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her father, she was betrayed dozens of times. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.

History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her father. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Beggar. She became a Beggar soon after.

Personality: Quiet and reserved she prefers to listen than to talk. She will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. She believes the world needs to unite to get rid of brigands once and for all.

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. After coming to the age of reason, Kite took it upon herself to study the psionic arts in their entirety; because of this, she was labeled a dark omen and banished from her homeland. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Beggar responsibilities is difficult; and many brigands want her driven away

Personality: In the realm of puns, she cannot help herself. She feels obliged to make them. She dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. Her biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: She was born at the edge of vast mountains. Since her father passed away years ago, her mother had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Personality: He likes to make people angry or surprised. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of brigands may trigger it at times.

History: Oren was born the youngest of three triplets. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: Many brigands want him driven away; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge
