History: When she was but 5 years old her parents immigrated from the east. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes dire rats are coming to abduct people. His actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as he answers to a power that mortal men fail to acknowledge.

History: He was born into a rich family. He was taken from his home at a very young age. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Mâku was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the dire rats.

Motivation: He wants revenge against dire rats; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it

Description: This eastern man is abnormally tall. He typically wears a sleeveless long coat of deep black leather and dull brown iron scale mail. His whole body is exceptionally muscular. His chestnut hair is unkempt and raggedy. His brown eyes have a joyful gleam in them most of the time.

Personality: He is a jovial happy person, but he is convinced people are living their lives too quickly. He always tries to repair and not replace. It was this mentality that drove him into the Ploughman business.

History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his father. His father was a mechanic, and taught him how to fix just about anything. He found several beat up suits of armor and, cannibalizing spare parts, he put together a working one.

Motivation: To get a good night's sleep; and wants to have a good time and be beloved

Description: This woman is very fat, and wears a red vest and prefers black and white shirts. Her boots appear to have been at one point steel toed but are quite worn down. Her hair is long and golden with streaks of black, and is pulled back with small red clips. Her gray eyes are desperate and heavily dilated. She has the appearance of someone under the heavy influence of drugs.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Verna embodies much of what other species detest in the Halflings. She constantly seizes attention wherever she goes and has come to expect this respect from everyone. She likes to think of herself as merciful, but nonetheless is very strict.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her father gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her father, who blamed her for driving them apart. After a long history of fighting, Verna and her spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: To end her boredom.
