History: Gifted from a young age, Qualen studied abroad. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Spice Merchant. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Personality: She has schizophrenia that causes her to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. She is skeptical of what others tell her and is slow to trust.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. A serious injury left her mother unemployed and in need of constant care. Her family became saddled with debt trying to care for her infirm mother. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and she has money and likes to spend it
