He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. During his travels, Hadarai and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Hadarai discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Hadarai fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.

Personality: He trusts no one. He is not readily capable for forgiveness and his ire never leaves him. He is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes him no end of embarrassment.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He has since married many spouses, only to have them die. He claims to not be responsible.

Motivation: He is greedy; and wishes to resurrect an old love

Personality: Stoic and calm, she prefers to meditate than take action. She is cautious and jumpy. She reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. In her 13th year, while out on a day-trip, she returned to find her hometown burning and destroyed. She found her mother impaled in their home, and her father beheaded. She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: She was born in the east, but her parents moved at a very young age to the south. She dropped out of school before completing her studies. She struck the Shipwright job and began her own company from there.
